Hi Lucy,

A similar thing happened to me some time ago. I think the most probable answer
is to retransform into a good host strain, ie. one that is still able to be
infected with helper phage. It sounds as though your host has gone off and your're just getting a bit of poorly packaged helper and some bacterial genomic.
Worked for me!
