messenger RNA polyA tails

Wed Dec 15 14:44:03 EST 1993

I have been trying to find the right person to ask this question for
quite some time. I have reached a point where embaressment is no longer
a factor, I need to know.

I read somewhere (don't remember where) that some prokaryotic mRNA have
poly A tails and some do not. Is this true? Is there any way to predict
which case you might be working with before wasting your time with
poly-T primed reverse transcription?

Thanks for any help.
