HELP-RNA FROM A PINETREE??!

Hi. 

I'm a beginner to this molecular biology stuff and as my first project for my
Masters thesis I'm trying to produce a cDNA library from Pinus radiata needles.

Well I've been trying to isolate enough undegraded RNA to have a go at this and
have only gotten low yeilds.

Does ANYONE out there know a WONDER PROTOCOL or have any little bit of advice
that may help to increase the yeilds and give more regular UNDEGRADED yeilds.

ANY help would be appreciated.
