Direct Lambda Sequencing : new answers to old thread ?

A mysterious rumor is circulating around here that one of them new-fangled
"kit" things allows sequencing via Sequenase protocols using LAMBDA DNA
AS A TEMPLATE !!!

I gave up this long ago when I heard of several people wasting large amounts
of time trying to get it to work. Another annecdote came my way about a 
group at Madison that was trying to develope this technique for (gasp) 
Promega, and their dismal failure.
