Primers for nuclear plant gene(s) applicable to diverse taxa

Does anyone have or know of a pair of primers capable of amplifying
a nuclear gene or gene family (e.g. small subunit, cab, actin) from
a wide variety of angiosperm species?  I would like to make use of
such a primer pair as a positive control in some STS mapping experiments 
in Populus.  Thanks.
