We have gel-purified some RNA-binding proteins and wish to use the
purified proteins for some binding assays. However, even very low
amounts of SDS completely inhibit the in vitro binding reaction (e.g.
.005%). We have run across the old Hager and Burgess method that
involves acetone precipitation but that is very inefficient in our hands.
Has anybody come across something better, including kits or special
beads, etc?

Thank you in advance.
