Does anybody do assays for histidine biosynthetic enzymes or intermediates anymore?? I have a Sulfolobus solfataricus histidine auxotroph that I wish to characterize, and since there is no suitable genetic system for this species as of yet, I have to go an alternate route. I would appreciate any references or comments
