mRNA preparation from few cells

At present, I am working on a project to isolate and RT-PCR mRNA's from
few or single cells. Using protocolls based on Chirgwin's method with
chloroform-phenol extraction, I've successfully amplified message from
approx. 10 cells isolated by a micromanipulator. I wonder, if anyone
can make suggestions on better protocolls to isolate mRNA's from single
cells? Does one need a desktop ultracentrifuge? Has anyone tried FOLT-PCR?
All suggestions welcome.
