phage DNA polymerase

Has anyone ever created a plasmid replicon that provides its own DNA
polymerase rather than using one provided by the E. coli host?  I'm
envisioning something like a T7 replication origin + T7 DNA polymerase gene
+ a selectable marker --- but it doesn't have to be T7, that's just an
example.  We diddle with the host polymerases and would like to have a
plasmid system that is not going to be affected by our diddling.
