  If you use 125I-labelled protein A you can expose a film to locate the
bands and then cut the bands from the dried gel and count radioactivity
with a gamma counter.  Make sure that protein A will bind to your
antibody.  Our antibody is rabbit IgG and we obtain good results.  Also, 
to ensure linearity of signal, run various amounts of your protein
extract.  If the signal increases in a linear fashion you are "in business".
