A fellow lab rat of mine has a question but no answer. I could not help him
on this one but told him that the net would be the best place to ask
so here we go...
Chloramphenicol resistance genes (CAT) from R-plasmids in Gram neg.
bacteria are termed type I, II and III according to Shaw (Methods in
Enzymology 57 pp 754).
Do you know to which group the CAT-gene of the transposon Tn9 (the same
as in pBR328) belongs?
