Gel leaks (was Salt Gradient Gels)

With regards to the problem of acrylamide gels leaking after being poured (a
problem I'm sure we've all experienced), I've thought (though I haven't
tried it yet) that perhaps sealing the plates with taught Parafilm, then
covering this with sealing tape, might help.  I've also heard that sealing
the plates with a small amount of agarose helps.
