Since the affinity of lectins for their sugar residues is high this gives
your your best chance. Do a gel, blot it and probe the blot with lectins
that are biotinylated. Once you know which ones recognise your protein
either by a preconjugated lectin-agarose or conjugate one yourself (only
if you have to!) and then run your protein extract through and elute with
the correct sugar.
