My personal experience told me that 50% is enough for this purpose.
you can dialysis your protein preparation solution in 50% glycerol
and the water inside the bag will go out and stay on the surface of
the outside solution. Then you can easily remove the water. You can
repeat this process untill no water goes out and accumulates on the
surface. Good luck!
