Stratagene Gigapack II XL

Hello,

   I have a question relating to genomic library construction.
Stratagene produce a packaging mix, Gigapack II XL, which selectively
packages large inserts, and eliminates the need for sucrose gradients
and specific size selection of inserts.Can anyone tell me how this 
packaging mix is able to do this? Any experiences with this system 
that maybe of value? Thanks in anticipation,
