dNTPs in PCR

Oh dear, it seems I messed up again with my former post.
My message is:
   Thanks to everyone who responded to my querry about dNTPs in PCR.
The concensus is that excess dNTPs inhibit polymerase by chelating the
Mg.  An alternative explanation was offered by Jim Graham, who thought that
excess dNTPs might out-compete dNTP-Mg complexes, which are the true substrates
for Polymerase.  Whatever the reason, the results is clear -- don't add
to much dNTPs!
