It was nice to read that PCR licensed SuperTaq exists (Swiss made) ... haven't
seen nor heard of it being available on this side of the pond!?! ... is it?
Afterall, if PE/Cetus Taq was REASONABLY (and COMPETITIVELY :^) priced in
first place (say, at $0.01/U), then there's likely be a LOT less
grumbling, yes? ALSO, PE/Cetus would have more likely ENSURED its desired
MONOPOLY ..., sales of Taq would be up more and PERHAPS final
ACCUMULATED profits would be about same (if not more) than they are at
present? ... same goes with selling (offering) MMLV-RT instead of inflated
AMV-RT (AMV and MMLV work at least same for RT-PCR, in, for example;

10x RT-PCR buffer:  500 mM KCl, 400 mM Tris, pH 9.0 (20C), 1% Triton
X-100, 15 mM MgCl2 ... use 1x with 200 uM each dNTP ... 42C/1 hr -> 95C 3
min then thermocycle.
