Concentrating small, dilute DNA

With regard to concentrating small amounts of dilute DNA. You indicated
an amount of 2 ug in a volume of 80 ul. This isn't that dilute. According
to Maniatis, EtOH precipitation should result in quantitative recovery
without the need for a carrier. Why not just dry the sample down in a speed
vac?? Unless you're concered about problems with salt concentration (which
wouldn't be an issue if your sample is in TE or water), vaccum drying
is the easiest and quickest thing. It works for me anyway.
