increasing amplification by 2 rounds of PCR

Hi,

In order to increase the detection level of plant infecting bacteria we are
currently doing 2 rounds of PCR (35 cycles each) using the same set of primers.

Is nested PCR better than this 2 rounds of PCR with the same primers? In this
case could somebody explains me why?

Are they good papers about this subsject?
