Hi netters, could someone tell me how to avoid getting a turbid
precipitate when I make yeast X-gal plates. I use the recipe in
current protocols in Mol Biol, autoclave the premix and dropout
powder, cool to 50deg C, add the 0.7 M potassium phosphate pH7, and
bingo, a precipitate appears. The plates seem to work OK, so is this
a normal phenomenon?
Thanks
Shoumo
