Sequencing gel apparatus suggestions

Treat the plate that will be on the outside of the gel bow (this will
insure that the DNA is up against the film after it has been transferred
to paper.  Clean the plate very well with soft-scrub or a related product,
rinse very well.  PLace the plate clean side up, and pour EtOH on it,
scrub the ethanol untill the plate squeaks clean. Allow to dry.  I believe
Rain-X is a liquid in a squirt bottle, ..evenly coat the plate, allow to
dry and "buff" the excess off with a Kimwipe.  If you wish, you can now
re-wipe the plates with EtOH.  This treatment should last for quite a few
gels...
