protein dephosphorylation

We are looking at some cytoskeletal proteins which have varying 
phosphorylation states.  We would like to dephosphorylate them, and try 
to look at them on immunoblots.  We have phosphorylation independent and 
dependent antibodies which we wish to use.  I would imagine you would do 
the dephosphorylation prior to running the Western, but I'm not sure if 
you could dephos on the blot as well.  In any case, has anyone had 
success doing this before?
