Blocked N-terminus

Greetings,

Can anyone help me?  I am looking for a good review article on the various
reasons that the N-termini of proteins and polypeptides become blocked. 
Any and all information would be much appreciated.  I have been unable to
find an article which specifically addresses this topic.
