Crystals during X-gal staining

Dear netters,

related to this, i sometimes like to store some dishes that had some nice
blue-stained neurons. To do this i made a gelatin mix with 0.2% sodium
azide. Make a gelatin mix (sorry cant remember conc.) so that it is firm
upon setting, and add na.azide to it - melt the gelatin - cool to 37C then
pour enough over the cells to cover.


They keep indefinitely in a draw!!
