Stopcodons in phage fusevectors ?

Recently, I made a selection using a phage random 15mer-peptide library
kindly provided by Smith. An increase in titer was observed after several
rounds of biopanning so I started sequencing, but to my big surprise
UAA codons appeared. So my questions is: Is the E.coli strain K91kan
suppressing the UAA codons or are there any other explanation to how viable
phages can be made when a stopcodon is present in the insert ?
Thanks a lot
Svend
