Perhaps it won't matter. I've raised specific antibodies, both poly- and mono-
clonal, to precipitated antigens, proteins ans protein-hapten conjugates. If
you have enough of you antigen (O.K. immunogen) and a rabbit available why not
try immunising the rabbit anyway?
