I am trying to get an assay for ATPase activity. Atkinson et al
(biochim et biophys acta 320:195, 1973) report using Cirrasol
ALN-WF formerly known as Lubrol W to stabilize the molybdate
reagent in the determination of Pi. This appears to be a widely used
technique, but I can't locate this reagent made by ICI (dyestuffs)
Manchester, England. It is a polyoxyethylene ether containing one
unit of cetyl alcohol and 16 units of ethylene oxide per
molecule. Any help in obtaining this reagent or suggestions for
Pi determinations would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
