taq contamination?

Hi,
it is interesting to hear this. I´m amplifying part of the 12s rRNA mt
DNA and always get a 16s rRNA contamination. I sequenced this
product and got a sequence (part of total seq.) which shows about
90% homology to Chromobacterium violaceum. I don´t know if this is
due to contamination during primer synthesis (primers are not purified)
or if Taq (a very expensive one) is responsible for this.
