D.N.A PURIFICATION......HELP PLEASE

  Is your DNA _cutting_ all right? If it cuts, and gives a good
smear on the gel, you don't need to clean it up. It is perhaps more 
likely that you have a transfer of hybridization problem. 
  (Cleaning up genomic DNA with a column is not a very good idea -
it breaks!).
