Antisense oligo design

I am planning a series of antisense inhibition experiments and have some
questions about the design of the oligos. Principally, I would like to know if
it is necessary to design the oligo so that it binds to the ribosome binding site
or is it possible to have the oligo binding elsewhere in the coding region?
Are there any other considerations to take into account when designing oligos?
Send any replies to me and I'll summarise if it's worthwhile.
Thanks,
	Chris
