DNA purification problem: glycogen

I am having problems in the purification of total DNA from fish liver.
Using distinct protocols for extraction (phenol/chloroform or
benzylchloride), I always obtain a DNA solution with a high amount of
glycogen. How can I remove the glycogen?
I would greatly appreciate receiving any help.
Thanks
