RT reagents affect PCR

ANY help on this matter would be appreciated....I can say this.
In our RT-PCR RxN's...we can get outstanding results...sometimes...
If the reagents become more than a week or two old...something inhibits
the PCR step...
I know you say contamination etc...this has been a question for some
time...it is not the problem. Aside from the tips used...everything was
checked. If we include a DNA-based PCR
...something inhibits the PCR step.
These are Random-Primed as well.
RSVP.
Sean
