Induction by macromolecs

So, there are plenty of examples where a small molecule induces the expression
of a gene, say the gene encoding the degradative enzyme. But does anyone
know of a case where a macromolecule induces the expression of a gene? I
realize that txn factors are macromolecules, but what I'm looking for is
induction by the presence of macromolecues besides txn factors. (I'm looking
at virus-host interxns)
