Phagemid preps

Greetings,
     I was wondering what protocols others are using to prep ssDNA from
phagemids?  What are (is) the protocol(s) of choice.  Any way to maximize the
purity of the ssDNA without contaminating plasmid being present.  I normally
grow the bacteria in minimal media first, but sometimes they just refuse to
grow until in richer media. (By minimal media I mean M9+B1)  I have been using
DH5a or INVaF', any suggestions?
