Mitochondrial DNA isolation

Hi there!

I have a subtracted library which I would like to screen with
mitochondrial DNA (I am not really interested in clones containing
mitochondrial inserts).  Does anyone have a good protocol for the
isolation of mitochondrial DNA (or is there even a protocol for isolating
mitochondrial RNA?)?  Also, is there anyone who has a mitochondrial (RAT)
DNA library who would be kind enough to share it with me?
