A good person to talk to is Dr. Anthony J. Andreoli at Cal State Los
Angeles in the Dept. of Chemistry and Biochemistry.  He should be about
to retire so he may have more time on his hands to help you out.  Trust
me, this guy really knows how to grow bacteria.
