Dear netters
In preparing DNA from soil for PCR analysis humic acids are usually 
copurified with the DNA. These are potent inhibitors of PCR and must be 
separated from the DNA.  Many people include insoluble PVPP in the 
extraction buffer to achieve this, but in a few reoports I have observed 
that pepple use acid washed PVPP.  What does the acid wash achieve?
