300bp RNA in opossum?

In opossum total RNA preps there is an ethidium-stainable (ie extremely
abundant) distinct band that runs at 300 bp, well above the tRNA schmear.
It appears not to be polyadenylated, but it does hybridize quite well with
the cDNA cross-species probe we are using.

Anyone have any info about what it might be? Any marsupial 7S RNA
sequences available out there? (couldn't find any in Genbank)

Thanks for any help/suggestions.
