Transfection with Lambda

Hi Netters,
I'm trying to express in mammalian cells a toxic cDNA whic will
not grow in E.coli.  I've cloned it into the Zap express from
Stratagene. I'm looking for information on transfecting
mammalian cell lines with lambda and any suggestions about
a good cell line to use. Also any suggestions about toxic cDNAs
and ways to get the bloody thing to grow in E.coli would
be appreciated.
