RNA isolation request

For total RNA, try the guanidinium/acid phenol method of Chomcyynski
and Sacchi, Anal. Biochem. 162, 156-159, 1987. You can also find this
in Current Protocols in Mol Biol (a.k.a. the Big Red Book), p. 4.2.4.
You should be able to find someone at NCSU that has it. If you're
on the Raliegh campus, try Matt Andrews in Genetics. One thing I
would suggest is to freeze the little buggers in LN2 and grind them
to a powder before you begin the extraction. Good luck.
