protein express/purification

Has anyone used the NEB MBP-fusion protein purification scheme and gotten it to
work?  I've been using a 6x histidine fusion protein/ NTA (nickel) column
procedure (Qiagen) and have gotten only 0.1mg purified protein/ liter.  NEB
claims that their system gives yields of up to 100mg protein / liter culture.
I'd like to know if this claim holds water.  Any information on this subject
would be appreciated.
