E. coli flg(Hag) mutants

Greetings,
Recently we have cloned what appears (from DNA
sequence similarity) to be the flagellin gene from
a motile gram-negative bacterium. The clone includes
the native promoter, RBS, start and stop sites. I would
like to transform a flg(Hag) mutant strain of E. coli
to see if I could restore motility. There is a number of
E. coli flg mutant strains. Is there a particular Hag
mutant strain of E. coli that would be ideal for this
experiment (i.e., defect only in the flagellin protein).
Thanks,
