hydrofobicity

Dear Netters,
I have been read some papers about bacterial adhesion to hydrocarbon, using
a simple test consisted in mix a suspension of cells with hexadecane in a tube
and measure the decrease of concentration in whitin aquous phase.
I would like to ask you all, if there is a similar test to study
hydrofobicity in yeasts. .
any help (references, comments...) will be valuable.
