Sterilization a viscous medium

	I am preparing Medium 199 containing 3% (w/v) chondroitin sulfate 
for keeping corneas. Sterilization using 0.22 micron membrane is rather 
difficult due to the viscous nature of chondroitin sulfate. Any 
suggestions out there for alternative methods?
