separation ss from annealed ds-oligos

 I'm not sure if this will work in your case, but here it
is: I have used nitrocellulose to remove ss DNA from pre-
parations of ds replicative form phage DNA. This involved
making the dna solution 0.5 M in NaCl and then running it
through a short column of ground nitrocellulose. I have also
used nitrocellulose centrifugal filters for this - simply
filter the mixed ss and ds DNA solution through the filter.
It must be pure nitrocellulose, not a mixture or cellulose
acetate. However, I DON'T know it this method will work for
such small fragments. The original method is in Biochem.
