We have been using the Bio-Rad gene Pulser for some time now. We
generally get about 10^6-10^8 colonies per µg, depending on DNA quality,
cell strain and other stuff. It work great, and is real easy. We just
added a Capacitance extender, and will soon be using it to electroporate
ES cells. We have also used the same instrument for electroporation of
Dictyostelium, which also works well.
