Platinum/Biotin complex

Hello all,


I have recently heard of a new system to label DNA and RNA with biotin,
 which involves a platinum/biotin compound. In a 30 min incubation at 80 degrees C,
 this complex binds to guanin groups, with no need for enzymes etc...

Has anybody used this system to label DNA in applications such as DNA hybridisation
on nylon membranes, and could provide me with some hints on the subject
(i.e. incorporation, stability, background on filter, etc ..) ?
