DO NOT ASSUME THIS STAIN IS NON-TOXIC!!! SYBR green is sold in a DMSO solution. DMSO is absorbed readily and rapidly through the skin and carries whatever is solubilized in it directly into your system. Any substance which intercalculates into DNA (as these stains do) must be assumed to be a mutagen.
