32P into Supercoiled -No way ???

I don't know why you need supercoiled plasmid but I was in a lab
where the postdoc, Evelyn Richet, developed an indirect labelling
method to do footprinting on supercoiled DNA. The footprinting
reaction was done on cold sc plasmid, then the DNA was linearized
and run on a sequencing gel. The DNA was transferred to a filter &
probed with a labelled oligo that annnealed to one end of the DNA.
She got nice footprints.
