membrane protein aggregation

Sorry for the previous missing message - no idea what happened.

One possibility for the aggregation is the denaturing step prior to loading on 
the gel. Specifically the temp. Membrane proteins have a tendancy to aggregate 
upon heating so if you are boiling in Laemmli buffer (or equiv.) try heating at 
40 degrees C for ten mins instead or just leaving at room temp (say 20-25 
degrees) for half an hour or so. If this does not help then it wasn't the 
problem :-).
